Description
The Austrian Audio OD5 introduces an active-dynamic microphone, optimized for use on instruments.
Subject to the strictest quality assurance processes, the OD5 is handmade in Vienna and once again comes with some unique features in the usual Austrian Audio manner.
Featuring the swivel joint mechanism, this allows the microphone basket to rotate up to 220°, allowing for precisely alignment to the sound source, or giving you the ability to adjust the position to your personal preferences.
A feature already known from the OD505 is the active-dynamic circuit. This ensures that even long cable runs have no negative effect on the signal. The unique active-dynamic design allows for the integration of a proper high-pass filter.
This microphone is perfectly suited to use on drums and percussion, but is also superb on guitar amplifiers, as well as on woodwind and brass instruments.
