Unlike the open-back version of the PRO X, the DT 700 is the most versatile option if you want to do vocal recordings, play an instrument live, or simply use the headphones for monitoring purposes. The closed-back design of the DT 700 headphones is the most sensible option as they isolate the sound on both sides strongly, this ensures that there is no crosstalk during the recordings; plus, the playback or the beat is not captured/recorded via live microphones.
In addition to the above, when wanting to listen to your music or audio track in a noisy environment, the passive sound isolation from the closed-capsule design helps ensure that you can focus on listening with less audible distractions.
And now with the addition of a 1.6m straight plug-n-play USB-C cable, the DT 700 PRO X delivers professional studio quality sound by simply connection to a USB-C port that support the USB-C host or USB OTG (On-The-Go) function. The cable features a high-quality built-in (ESS), digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) ideal for connection with USB-C compatible smartphones, tablets or laptops.

Developed in Heilbronn Germany, the new STELLAR.45 sound transducer delivers that proven beyerdynamic sound, but at a previously unattained level of performance, for such an all-rounder headphone. Responsible for this are the neodymium ring magnet and a copperplated aluminum coil which, in combination with the newly developed ins membrane featuring integrated attenuation, form a highly efficient 48 Ω driver system that performs superbly on all playback devices.
Another benefit is its comprehensive, detailed and natural frequency response. Very short time lags as well as a detailed transient response ensure a constantly dependable sound, even at high levels. The fast response of the transducer and the detailed transient response, produced by the low coil weight, create a sound that is always reliable even at high sound pressure levels.

The PRO X USB-C cable works with all devices that have a USB host or USB OTG (On-The-Go) function.
The integrated Digital-to-Analogue converter (DAC) makes it possible to change between different end devices while maintaining a consistently high audio quality. The integrated microphone allows using the headphones for phone calls. The volume or playback of tracks can intuitively be controlled via the integrated remote control.
Selected materials make the PRO X USB-C cable ideal to complement the PRO X or PRO headphones with a 3-pin mini XLR connection. The 1.6 meter cable can be locked to the headphone housing. The remote control and the condenser microphone are integrated in a durable aluminum housing.
