The D6X is a professional-grade dynamic microphone that utilizes the same acclaimed design as the highly-regarded D6 microphone. Compact, lightweight, and versatile, the D6X cardioid mic is an ideal option for capturing the full range of low frequencies from instruments like kick drums, large toms, and bass cabinets in live performances, recording sessions, and broadcast settings.

D6X presents a switch that allows for toggling between three distinct sound profiles. In the lower position (Deep), the classic D6 performance is fully preserved, providing a deep and prominent sound that easily cuts through the mix.

The central position (Balanced) results in a balanced rendition of the D6 audio, increasing the presence of mids and upper mids. This is ideal for achieving more classic kick drum tones while still maintaining the overall D6 sound signature.

The top setting (Natural) shifts the microphone's response to a linear pattern, resulting in a boost in midrange tones and a slight alteration in the high-end roll-off. This configuration is ideal for recording various sound sources, such as percussion, guitar cabinets, and a diverse range of instruments.

Audix unique dynamic VLM (Very Low Mass) capsule technology, along with the sturdy and compact construction and transformerless, low impedance design, allows for flawless, interference-free performance.
