Sennheiser Spectera DAD Directional Antenna (1G4) 1350 - 1400 MHz and 1435 - 1525 MHz
The future of professional wireless is here — and it’s bidirectional. For more than a decade, Sennheiser envisioned a new kind of wireless system for audio professionals — one that allows for far more efficient and flexible use of spectrum than single-carrier systems, is fortified against dropouts from RF fading, and greatly reduces the complexity of frequency coordination; a new kind of wireless solution that streamlines the entire workflow and consolidates the entire system into as few components as possible. Now, that vision has become reality.
The DAD directional antenna is a first-of-its-kind transceiver; simultaneously sending IEM signals, receiving mic/line signals and managing all bidirectional system data. It provides continuous interference management and remote control, and is equipped with a rugged RJ45 connector, IP54 protection, and PoE.
Key Features About Spectera
- Bidirectional wireless ecosystem; data and audio control in a single
RF carrier for all components - Bidirectional SEK bodypack manages both IEM and mic/line signals simultaneously
- Transceiving antennas manage IEM signals, mic/line signals, and data simultaneously Continuous bidirectional communication for full remote control and monitoring of SEK bodypack links, IEM volume, audio level and settings, RF health, battery status, and more
- 1 RU base station provides up to 64 channels (32 in / 32 out) and allows for up to two independent wideband RF carriers in UHF or 1G4 (6 or 8 MHz)
- Innovative Sennheiser WMAS technology accommodates an entire production in a single wideband RF carrier (6/8 MHz)
- Redundancy throughout, including power supply, Dante, MADI (optional), and up to four antennas.
- Four antenna ports allow for redundancy, extended zone coverage and additional spectrum capacity
- 11 Audio Link modes allow for selectable control of audio quality, latency, channel count, and operating range
- Signature Sennheiser digital audio quality across the entire system— including IEMs — with latency down to 0.7 milliseconds
- Integrated RF components in DAD antenna eliminate the need for additional dedicated RF gear such as combiners, splitters, or boosters
- Vastly more resistant to dropouts from RF fading than traditional narrowband systems via innovative Sennheiser WMAS technology equal to 40x diversity (8 MHz) / 30x diversity (6 MHz)
- Sennheiser WMAS technology eliminates the hassle and time of frequency coordination
- Intuitive workflow via LinkDesk user interface: plan and preconfigure from anywhere with LinkDesk virtual setup for Windows and Mac
- Automated assistive behaviors make system management fast and intuitive
- Evolving hardware/software ecosystem; future releases will include SKM handheld mic, cascade port activation, plus a variety of innovative hardware and software updates
