The Fireface 802 FS offers a comprehensive pro audio solution for both live and studio settings, housed in a 19” rackmount design. Crafted for professionals demanding uncompromised sound quality, reliability, and ultra-low latency, it delivers an exceptional range of features. This landmark RME interface combines 60 audio channels, premium microphone preamps, reference-grade converters, a full effects suite, and supports up to 192 kHz operation, setting a new standard in high-end audio performance.
The Fireface 802 FS offers ultra-low latency performance powered by RME’s USB 2 technology, paired with the brand’s well-known driver stability and ongoing support. It features SteadyClock FS for enhanced jitter reduction, individually adjustable reference levels on every input and output, full stand-alone operation, and consistent functionality across both Windows PC and Mac systems, rounding out a comprehensive professional package.
The Fireface 802 FS utilizes newly engineered analog and digital boards. The analog board features advancements such as DC-coupled analog outputs and upgraded AD and DA converters, while the digital board benefits from modern high-tech components that unlock innovative new functionalities.
The front panel of the Fireface 802 FS is equipped with four versatile XLR/TRS combo inputs designed for microphone, instrument, and line-level signals. It also includes two stereo headphone outputs delivering +17 dBu, ensuring powerful volume levels even when using high-impedance headphones.
The rear panel of the Fireface 802 FS offers comprehensive connectivity options. In addition to MIDI and Word Clock I/O, it includes two optical ADAT I/O ports, an AES/EBU I/O, and eight balanced analog inputs and outputs at line level. The new Multi-Mode feature allows the two ADAT I/O ports to function as separate optical SPDIF inputs and outputs alongside the AES I/O. Additionally, there is a USB A port for direct connection to the optional ARC USB remote controller, enhancing user control and versatility.
